A VERY IMPORTANT PERSPECTIVE FOR THE HOUR!
A few thoughts in light of the current times.
In scripture whenever God’s judgement was impending or happening ; two things happened. When people humbled and prayed ; God heard them and turned away their captivity.
Other times ; the people had to experience the judgement regardless. Even though the children of God were protected to a great extent ,the judgements of God did not pass away and they lived under it . There is scriptural precedent to this from the examples of Jeremiah, Isaiah, Ezekiel and the minor prophets.
They didn’t pray for judgements to be gone ( many of them) although it was their heart’s cry but they focused their energy on other things; like ministering to people under captivity.
Now if we as a church are believing that we are in the end of the end of times then can we expect the judgements of God to leave with just a prayer or some days of prayer? Could it be that the the judgements are here to stay till God’s appointed time?
In saying this I’m in no wise saying that we should not have the heart to pray such prayers or even pray that way or it is wrong but the key is what is God saying now?
If it is that the world must face the judgements of God ; then we must learn to accept God’s timelines and focus our energy on ministering to the hurting and lost and sick during this time. It is a truth that needs to settle deep in our spirits as we approach the end of the end times.
Our natural impulses is to pray away anything harmful and there is nothing wrong with that but the question to ask is can we pray away the plagues in Revelation?
If we are living in the end times then we are very close to the things in Revelations being fulfilled.
This is in no wise criticizing the current awareness of prayer amongst people (for the infection to go) but a call to maturity to have the heart and mind of Christ this hour. We need to Intercede when needed ; at other times we need to focus our prayers on saving the lost and hurting.as times like these are the times of the greatest harvest.
What is He saying? ” Anything you say Lord I submit to it” ; should be the attitude of the heart. He will then speak and His sheep will hear His voice! Amen.
