Word given on May 6th 2008
As I was seeking the Lord on the nature of the recent happenings in the body of Christ, the Lord showed me and also said that the rains are not just for the wheat but also so that the tares can mature. Then I realized that the tares grew along with the wheat in the parable, received the same rains the wheat received and also would have produced fruit of its own kind.So in light of that there are several important things that concern us!!
Firstly we need to be totally yielded to God. The emphasis now seems to be more on outward manifestation and miracles. While that is not necessarily wrong in context, if we don’t strike a proper balance with the more essential truths we would be in danger of crossing the line. We would have grown in miracles and healings but if we haven’t grown the same measure in God’s Love and Holiness we might end up being deceived and deceiving ourselves.
Secondly there is a desperate need for solid truths to be preached during these times. History will show us that during times of out pouring when there were no solid truths being preached or proper foundations laid, the outpourings didn’t last long or people went into extremes.
Thirdly we need to examine our lives to see if we have received truth when it was brought to us for if we hadn’t God will send a powerful deception so that we believe a lie.
Finally brethren true revival would produce Holiness and with it signs and miracles. Let us be aware that the coming of the lawless one would also be marked with many great lying signs and wonders. The difference between the two is Holiness and walking in God’s Love.
