A couple of days back started helping my 5-year-old with artwork and decorations. As I got more involved in her perfect imperfections of art, soon my daughter began talking to me and expressing love like never before. I had related to her, and she had related back to me.
And God spoke. Is that not what He did when He left everything in His world to be a part of everything in my world? He related to me and now I relate to Him!
The journey to Begur district, Karnataka was nearly 9 hours and tiring as I had only little sleep earlier that night. When we arrived at our missionary’s home, was eager to sleep. Just as I was at the point of total exhaustion wanting to rest, the missionary’s mother started sharing her family’s problems in a language I found it difficult to understand. With the exhaustion, I was straining to understand which made it worse.
As she kept on talking, I wanted to cut her off and rest several times. I did not though and then God gave me His eyes and heart for her. I saw her pain and that she had been eagerly waiting a long time to share her problems to me and saw this as her only chance!
I was able to pray with passion and love for her in the end!
O Lord! I must have your eyes to see the need around me!
Must have your heart to understand.
A hurting and dying world desperately longs for the touch of the Master, His soothing voice, His loving hands revealed through His church!
Must walk as he walked…
