They shall by no means harm thee – Luke 10:17
2nd day of missionary meetings about to start. Kids and Roja sick. When the enemy’s hold is being broken in a place, he tries everything to retaliate back. Should have prayed for family’s protection after praying against the attacks on the missionaries! Must keep moving forward though till he is totally destroyed!
My God is my refuge and strength and in Him will I trust. He will scatter my foes before me, and they will fall by the wayside and not get up anymore!
Missionary work is hard work. Many a time one has to deal with ages of strongholds and demonic spirits in places they are sent to. Many a time they are unprepared to face the challenges. Therefore, the spiritual struggles, sicknesses, sufferings, easily misled by distractions and falling prey to temptations.
If not through those ways, the enemy incites people he holds to rise against God’s chosen as against Paul and a suffering of different kind arises that must be endured.
One must not be tolerated while the other endured. In all of these things, we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us!
The missionary meeting went on well. Missionaries edified and refreshed!
There are many workers, but are they adequately equipped for the great work? A great need indeed! O God rise up fathers for these shepherds who will guide and mentor them into truth.
After the missionary meetings, visited 2 fields the missionaries in Begur were working in! The villagers we met seemed hospitable but also a feeling of hostility in one of the villages. The people were simple and poor! Going to one of these places provided firsthand insight into the great difficulties associated with such work!
God’s power and grace is adequate for each situation, but it must proceed from a vessel made out of truths from God’s word! Only then a proper breakthrough can be achieved. God’s word impacting lives with the Spirit’s power.
O Lord raise up able workers laborers to work in the fields.
Journey to Gudalur ahead … from visiting missionary fields and ministering in churches! Lord, grant me your insights to help the missionaries the best I can in their ministry!
