You have 10 thousand teachers.. I Corinthians 4:15
Starting early from Begur today, thoughts from yesterday on a lack of spiritual Fathers for pastors and missionaries still fresh in mind. Sad to hear about the jealously, competition and the desire to do anything for money!
A young man Joshua (in ministry) I had met during the conference, ran up to me as we were leaving and said that he was sad to see me leave! He wanted to come along with us…. I wanted to take him home along with me but the lack of a proper setting to mentor him back home hinders that! Wish I had a setting for him back home!
Why are we so far from you, Lord?
Far from representing Christ properly to people everywhere? Not just here but in many places elsewhere. Is not Your bride supposed to live, love like You and talk like You! If You are taking care of your bride, why is she in the state she is in? Pride, envy competitions, unrighteous judgment, with no convictions from above?
Visited 2 fields, exhausted at times and preached in an evening meeting!
It’s late night and there is another hectic day tomorrow. Writing this at missionary Joshua’s place. The thoughts from the morning still there! After visiting two missionary fields in the mountains and seeing the extreme hardships such ministry brings, thoughts on the necessity of being trained adequately and the lack thereof still continues! Sincere missionaries yet wanting in many areas!
On one hand insincere workers and on the other hand sincere workers not equipped properly…where does this all lead to Lord? What is the use of having a congregation that is not in the paths of righteousness? And what is the use of sincere workers if they can’t make a difference?
Must do something to rise up able workers. Must not lose focus on the truth that the Great mentor, Teacher and Guide is actively at work and Knows what is going on!
God, give me grace to accept with serenity
the things that cannot be changed,
Courage to change the things
which should be changed,
and the Wisdom to distinguish
the one from the other.
Living one day at a time,
Enjoying one moment at a time,
Accepting hardship as a pathway to peace,
Taking, as Jesus did,
This sinful world as it is,
Not as I would have it,
Trusting that You will make all things right,
If I surrender to Your will,
