The Righteous are bold as a lion-Proverbs 28:1
In Pattavayal, slept on the floor in Church along with our little group of four. The past few days have been sleeping in the missionaries’ homes and taking rest whenever and wherever we could find a place. Felt it was inspiring for the missionaries that their leader would come and stay with them, where they lived. It has brought me more understanding and perspective on the struggles they face and the reasons for them.
Now I know when I pray, God will surely work. For when I pray, I pray with proper understanding and great love for them!
I must cultivate allowing God’s life to flow through me during these times, that each moment here will be towards their change for the better and soon it will be a complete and lasting one!
Midafternoon and the field that we went to was deep in the forest and the mountains. From heresay, no missionaries have gone in there prior!
As we went downhill, there were traces of elephant passing! The people we met were friendly and open. We heard stories of elephants chasing and killing people and a tiger eating a cow in recent times. Only the day prior, an elephant had chased an individual. As dangerous as that place was, people still live there, for nearly 950 years now or even more…
They had a small school there with only 2 teachers. They were sharing on how fearful each time was they came to that place for work! Then the thought……. If they are doing it for a worldly cause, how much more should we be ready and willing to do it for an eternal cause.
Prayed for the teachers and a sick lady in a hut. Visited the head of the community spending time with him!
Lord, raise up more risk takers for you!
