During the later part of her life, Amy fell into a pit by accident hurting her leg and ankle. Acute neuritis disabled one of her arms, arthritic pain of the spine set in and for twenty years she rarely left her room. Another fall in her room broke her hip and arm, permanently disabling her. The last two years of her life she could not get out of bed with the drugs proving inadequate to ease the pain.
To the fool who questions God for the evils that encompass; who are you o vain man to put your counsel in contention with almighty God. You are but a flower of the field and the grass that withers with the blowing of the wind. Can the clay say to the potter why have you made me thus? Did you put the stars in their place? Did you set the order behind which the universe exists? The brilliance of almighty God revealed in all wisdom and majesty through creation. You are but dust before Him.
To the confused and the weak; and to those who struggle to understand, know this; that your Maker is just and righteous. There is no evil found in Him. His ways are eternal and his pathways are holy. He is eternally faithful and good. Look on His eternal ways and find His everlasting paths and you will be strengthened.
The only way the value of a diamond can be increased is by cutting. It’s not the size of the diamond that determines its value but the amount of light it can reflect. The diamonds that reflect the most light are those that have been through the roughest treatment. Yet the greatest care is taken by the jeweler not to damage the stone in anyway.
