Jesus wept -John 11:35
As i was praying in the morning, yesterday night’s conversation with the missionaries came to mind. Nicobar is a remote place of sorts and the salary that we pay them is just enough to get them through the month. The missionary’s wife is pregnant and at times when she has fallen sick and there is no proper medical facility here.
As i sat listening to their concerns i realized i needed to be understanding on one hand but at the same time encourage them in the walk of faith. Just talking about faith without being sensitive to their struggles can hurt instead of help and just being concerned without talking on faith will not help them overcome their situation.
God give me a heart to cry with Mary and Martha and at the same time say “Lazarus come forth”! I shared with them my own struggles in the ministry and how i overcame them. It seemed to help and encourage them!
Along day ahead today, involving meeting people and the evening meeting in a village called small Lapathy.
Lord let me know that You are walking beside me all the time and in the moment of weakness help me lean on You that You may carry me!
It has been the busiest day yet. Visiting a lot of leaders and elders! More revelation on the sinister power of darkness working in these Islands behind the scenes! The meeting in the evening went on well. God’s power breaking through as i was talking. It was easy to pray for people . In the end we had people cut of their strings around their neck and hands. These had spells on them. We prayed and broke its power in Jesus name and there was a great deliverance.
Reflecting back on the three days of teaching in the evenings in three different villages, the Spirit seemed to say ” The people had received the logos word ( we had distributed nearly 4000 Bibles this & past year ) now they are ready for the inspired word”! We’d seen the beginning of its work these three days.
Satisfied today, another busy day tomorrow but only a day with Jesus is worthwhile!
