He restores my soul – Psalms 23:3
Enoch walked with God- Genesis 5:24
The day started off with an uncertainity as Pas.Adhikez wanted to stay behind with me and myself insisting that he leaves. The deputy tribal secretary was waiting for us outside our room.
He didn’t barge in but waited till we had our baths, got ready and when we sat down to have tea, came up to us and told us that he will arrange for two tickets the next day and left. It shows as too how much of deep respect there is towards guests in the Nicobari culture.
On hearing this Pas.Adhikezavan was overjoyed but I was not for some reason. My mind was made up to stay alone. I had wanted to spend the time alone with God for it is in times like these you discover Him in a real, intimate and powerful way! My soul was longing for that.
Find comfort my soul. He who loves you will find a way to meet you!
Also the disappointment of not experiencing the lives of pioneer missionaries was there.
In prayer a little later God showed that Pas.Adhikezavan had really wanted to make the trip to Katchal along with me !
It was there 10 years prior he had lost his wife . Dad could not visit the place and he really wanted to take me there in his stead. Then I realized God was into something greater, in restoring the soul of the pastor through the event.
God’s ways are perfect and through each event He is looking to work in us in light of eternity.
Thoughts of Roja and the kids kept coming as had not talked with them for three days. He that is with me isn’t He with them also. He will take care of them.
Not much to look forward to today! Lord, still I can look forward to YOU, which is much greater than anything and it would be worth the entire trip and much more..
In the afternoon I tried to sleep with difficulty on the floor. It was hot with mosquitoes biting us everywhere! Tried three times to sleep and then decided against doing so further. In the evening started to sing in the room and soon knew that He was right there beside me. I wanted to share in His burdens but He started healing me of events of recent past that had affected me and had wounded me deeply.
I was being refreshed as I released & forgave! Finally I got to ask His burden. He brought to mind a few things and I prayed for them, especially for the bishop’s family and the people of CHOWRA!
God remove my yokes and make me fit to carry thine and give me your yoke. I want to walk with you my Friend!
