Do you love Me?

Life’s trials are simply but a mirror to our hearts. They help us see who we really are. In those moments of weaknesses we stand exposed to the subtleties that lie within us. Deny Him or still love Him?  
It is for this express purpose David prayed, “Cleanse me o Lord from hidden faults” .Who can understand his errors?
 
God sets up the ‘perfect circumstance” in the life of his children that exposes them to the reality of the soul. It’s not to condemn but only with the goodwill that the child will see its corruption that He may work within to fix. To leave it as such would do great harm.
 
Peter had to see that his devotion and dedication was coupled with selfishness and pride. He had to be broken, his weakness exposed.
He had fervently assured the Lord of his love earlier, but had denied Him with the same fervor sometime later. Now that the blueness of a wound had cleansed away evil and stripes the inward parts of the belly, Peter could answer in truth that he loved the Lord.
If not for that God ordained circumstance that exposed his sins, his pathway was headed towards eternal destruction.
 
Dear child learn from His ways and when exposed to the truth within, answer the question in all honesty, do I really love Him?
