Let me know Thy love that I might love others better !
Thy loving-kindness is better than life – Psalms 63:3
Reached home late! My youngest daughter was eagerly waiting for me! She was very excited to see daddy! Soon it was daddy’s turn to put her to sleep and as she cuddled in my arms, I asked her “What were you doing these 2 weeks?” expecting her to talk in detail about the events of the past days.
Her innocent reply surprised and broke me!
She said, “Daddy I was waiting for you!” I didn’t realize how much my little girl loved me and needed me and missed me!
My prayer then was “Father, make me a better dad and may I understand your love better!”
Lessons learnt; a journey ended!
There is another journey that is ahead. Greater mountains to climb, deeper valleys to walk, fertile pastures and dry lands. Must set my face as a flint!
Shepherd of my soul, lead me as you will! As long as you are there beside Me, no mountain will be too high to climb and no valley too deep to walk into!
