The day began with troublesome thoughts on certain things that were going on. No time to pray as I got up late and had to go to immediately to the meeting arranged that day. Tried to focus on God with some worship songs on the way and managed for most part.
People sat in the sun to listen to the word, and we moved to the shade because of the heat after some time. My pulpit became the cow shed and as I started my sermon, the cow urinated… It didn’t stop the Spirit from working; neither did it bother the people listening. It is not in how perfect an atmosphere we can create; all God need’s is hungry hearts and a yielded vessel to carry his word. God’s presence strongly felt flowing and blessing people. Looking at the stable, it reminded on the great sacrifice Jesus had to make – a transition from the glories of heaven to a lowly stinking manger.
After the meetings, the troubling thoughts were back. One thing was certain, I must move on and soon those thoughts will far trail behind and give up. I will not allow my burdens to hold me back from moving forward!
And even though they might seem heavy and start to weary my soul, I will trust in him who lifts my burden and causes me to run…
Yes, by him I will run through a troop and leap over a wall. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. [Psalms 18:29, Philippians 4:13]
