“You know me better that I know myself” -Psalms 139
“To knowledge, add self control” – 2 Peter 1:5 to 7
The enemy tries to bring fear and hopelessness to prevent us from fulfilling God’s plan and will. As the pastors were talking yesterday, they made it seem like it was impossible for us to come to Srilanka and start work. Even if we came here that we would face a lot of persecution and trials!
God’s kingdom works on the basis of faith and hope and above everything love!
As I was pondering on the events of yesterday, God gave me His love for the pastors. Our coming probably made them insecure of their places and that is why all the negativities!
God make them and us secure in Your love! For perfect love casts out fear!
As the day progressed, God showed me that people in these places had lost everything because of the war and that the pastors insecurity arose from the general state of the people there! Whatever they held on to, they feared of losing ;as it had happened many times before! It was this general fear that led to insecurity from a people who did not know God’s unconditional love or hadn’t experienced it properly!
Next, the two pastors who hosted us shared on how the people they hosted prior and gave room to before; split their church and took a part of the congregation! All of this helped me understand why people were apprehensive to our coming and did not want us there!
Relationships are built on trust and as time progressed more barriers between us and them were broken and they opened up!
Lord give me Your understanding for each situation that I judge not unrighteously but rather that I help people along in their process of healing!
