He gives strength to the weary- Isaiah 40:29
The past days were some of the toughest. I had been broken a lot and didn’t care much to ask God for strength!. It was in this state was heading to one of the toughest places in Asia to minister! A .. stronghold , a spiritual place for those in the country, known to be a home of a certain god!
As we were sitting at the gate in the airport, the speaker rang loud that our gate had been changed! Immediately got to go but most people had not moved! This created a doubt in me as to whether I had heard right.. Soon we found a girl who was wandering like us and confirmed we had heard right and in the end went to the right gate.
Then I understood how difficult it is to take a detour when others are not taking it or to move out of a crowd but then when we do, God almost has someone to help us along the way.. The only thing is to be confident in what you’ve heard and proceeded!
Later that day we arrived in Varanasi . Through the day felt weak, physically exhausted ,mentally unprepared and spiritually confused! But kept on trying to reach out to God in the night!
It is for Him we step out in faith and He makes sure His own do not stumble and even if we proceed the wrong way He gives us enough signs to get back on track, making every crooked thing straight!
It is ok to end the day on a low note sometimes for just as the dawning of the sun on a brand new day ! Hope can dawn and strength can return!
